This card is a different size than most as I wanted to be able to use the whole confetti embossing folder. The finished size is 6 by 4 ¼, which is easy to create with Stampin Up’s 12 x 12 whisper white card stock. If you do not have 12×12 paper you can cut your 8½x11 in half on the 8½ side giving you two pieces of 4¼x1. Cut one piece at 6 and the other at 6 ½, then score at ½ on the 6 ½ piece and attach to 6 inch piece. Voila, you have your base all ready to decorate! After embossing I stamped the Birthday bloom inside the oval and also stamped a second on a scrap of white. I coloured each with So Saffron and shaded with Crushed Curry. Leaves are coloured with Old Olive and shaded with Always Artichoke. I sponged the raised area of the embossing folder with so saffron, then fussy cut the birthday bloom flower and used dimensionals to pop it up. The banner framelit in the large number framelits set works great with the happy birthday sentiment in the Balloon celebration stamp set, so I used that combo for the sentiment. The white perfect accents are just that… perfect! You can use a permanent marker to be any colour you like, so I kept with my theme and made them black.
This is a fun new look for the confetti embossing folder! Don’t you think?
Gorgeous card, Barb. Love this stamp set and am so glad it carried over.
