“Hello” using emboss resist

Emboss resist is one of my favourite techniques to do using my Stampin Up products…it feels like magic!

First you want to cut out your desired size of Water colour paper, use your embossing buddy to remove any static from your paper. Using VersaMark ink stamp Hello (from the Hello stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalogue) on your water colour paper and sprinkle with white embossing powder, then heat emboss.

Spritz the paper with water and using your aqua painter, drop small amounts of ink (I used pear pizzazz, lost lagoon and so saffron) right onto the paper. Once you have the desired look, set the paper aside to dry.

I have been known to be a little impatient so I might hurry up the drying time with our heat tool… just make sure that you heat it from the back.

Wipe off any excess ink from the embossed surface and once dry mat on white cardstock, then on lost lagoon.

Attach washi tape (from 2014-2016 in colour package) along the edge and then mount the lost lagoon on thick white card base. Place your sentiment, then add stars from metallic sequin assortment and your card is done!

My hope is that you enjoy this technique as much as I do!

This versatile little stamp can be earned for free from Stampin Up by making a $60 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, until March 31, 2016. Visit my online shop, or contact me to learn more.
